Your kids must be excited as it’s nearly Halloween. Have you thought of making Halloween crafts yet? Well, if you haven’t, here are some ideas that will come handy when the time is near and you can have so much fun prepared for your kids. Also, do involve your kids in these crafts while you are making them, that way they will learn a whole lot of stuff related to Halloween and other occasions.

There are hundreds of craft ideas that you can adopt. We will discuss here only some of them. The first and the easiest of all is to make a ghost hand puppet. You will need a white paper towel or any other white cloth, a rubber band to tie it at the bottom and a black marker for making his face marks. What you will do is spread the white paper towel on your kid’s hand such that the thumb and the little finger become the ghost’s arms and the white towel make its face in between them. Make its eyes, nose and mouth and the ghost puppet is ready!

A great decoration idea for Halloween can be a painted Frankenstein box. Take a paper mache box and paint it using green paint. Paint its lid with black paint and let them both dry. Make some green triangles on the edge of the lid to show green hair. Make facial features with any paint you want and try to make it a little scary with a huge nose. Make the shape of the mouth and put small lines across it to show that it has been stitched. Put some paper swirls inside the box. Your craft is ready! In a similar manner, Frankenstein lampshades can also be made.

Witch broom pencil is something the kids simply love. You can easily make it by taking a pencil, some shrubs and twigs from your garden and glue. Arrange the twigs at the rear end of the pencil and stick them together using glue. You can make it look like the traditional witch broom. You can also wrap a brown paper all around the pencil to conceal its design.

Mini ghosts can be made by using some ping pong balls, white paper towels, some paints, glue and threads or strings. You can use a sponge to dab colors on white paper towels to make them look like stains. Make eyes and nose with a marker and glue the towels to the top of the balls. Needle a thread and take it out from the top of the ghost head. Apply the same procedure to other ghost heads. Mini ghosts are ready.

Mummy hands are also fun to make and kids enjoy it a lot. Take a package of cheesecloth, paper mache adhesive, petroleum jelly, and a scissors. Cut the cheesecloth in long strips (about 6 to 7 inch long), apply petroleum jelly on hands, dip the strips in adhesive and start wrapping them around fingers and palms. Cover them completely and then let them dry. Using a scissors cut dried mummy cast off the side of the hands and apply more strips over that area.

You can also make spider webs, ghost lollipops, cauldron candy dish and so many other crafts at home. Just use your imagination and creative skills to make this Halloween the most enjoyable for your kids and their friends.
